This challenging site, set along a strong undulating roofscape, required a ‘Front to Back’ design approach to unlock its potential. The elevation design is an interpretation of the immediate vernacular, pulling apart the A-frame adjoining roofscapes to provide 4 units within 2 familiar shapes. It provides for appropriate density of the site, while recognising the strong urban form to give a point of interest on this prominent corner.
